Shallow Uranium Targets Along the Athabasca Basin's Edge
About Aurora Project
The Aurora Project is a 53,041-hectare uranium exploration project located along the eastern edge of Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin. It forms part of the broader Purepoint–IsoEnergy 50/50 joint venture, which controls more than 100,000 hectares across the Dorado, Aurora and Celeste projects.
Aurora consolidates portions of the former Full Moon, Red Willow and Collins Bay Extension properties into a single large exploration project positioned near the McClean Lake and Rabbit Lake mining districts.
The project is characterized by shallow target depths, extensive conductive trends and multiple areas where historical exploration has identified favourable geology, alteration and elevated radioactivity.
WHY AURORA MATTERS
Aurora combines several characteristics important for uranium exploration:
1. Large-scale opportunity across more than 53,000 hectares
2. Shallow exploration targets along the eastern margin of the Athabasca Basin
3. Multiple conductive zones providing a broad pipeline of targets
4. Demonstrated uranium prospectively, with anomalous uranium identified at several target areas
5. Strategic location near established uranium deposits and mining infrastructure
KEY TARGET AREAS
OSPREY
Osprey is one of Aurora’s more advanced target areas, where drilling has intersected favourable basement geology, alteration and elevated radioactivity associated with electromagnetic conductors.
GENEVA
Geneva represents another prospective conductive corridor where drilling has identified anomalous uranium and geological features consistent with uranium-bearing hydrothermal systems.
RADON
At Radon, historical exploration has identified elevated radioactivity and favourable structural and conductive features, providing additional potential for follow-up exploration.
Beyond these areas, Aurora contains numerous additional conductive zones that remain lightly tested or untested.
EXPLORATION STRATEGY
Exploration at Aurora is focused on systematically evaluating a large pipeline of shallow conductive and structural targets.
Purepoint integrates historical drilling, geophysics and geological interpretation to refine target priority and identify the areas with the strongest potential for basement- and unconformity-related uranium mineralization.
The scale of the project provides multiple independent opportunities for future discovery.
