January 16 2007 – Toronto, January 16, 2007 – Purepoint Uranium Group Inc. (TSX-V:PTU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dale Huffman as the company’s Vice President, Field Operations. Mr. Huffman, a 15 year veteran in the uranium and nuclear industry, most recently held a variety of senior positions at AREVA, one of the world’s largest uranium producers.
Mr. Huffman began his career with Atomic Energy of Canada Limited, where he oversaw large scale projects designed to assess, clean up and monitor historic radioactive waste facilities. Subsequently he joined AREVA where he was responsible for the implementation and management of numerous programs throughout AREVA’s Canadian mining and exploration operations. Most recently he was stationed with AREVA’s Mining Business Unit in France, where he was responsible for the OHSAS 18001 certification of all of their mine sites around the world.
Mr. Huffman holds a B.Sc from Queen’s University and a MBA from the University of Saskatchewan. He is a member of the Health Physics Society, the Canadian Radiation Protection Association and the Canadian Society of Safety Engineers.
