December 28 2005 – In preparation for their 2006 exploration program in the Canadian Athabasca Basin, Purepoint Uranium Group Inc. (TSX-V:PTU) has announced the contracting of its exploration field team consisting of crew members with work histories that span three decades in the Basin.

“A key factor to exploration success in the basin is to assemble crews that know this region – the climate, the terrain, and the local resources for example,” said Chris Frostad President and CEO, Purepoint Uranium Group Inc. “Being able to rely on individuals who are completely familiar with the Basin’s work environment is an advantage to this project. Locally-gained experience provides us with confidence that our exploration programs will be carried out in the best manner possible.”

Companies working with Purepoint this season include Spectra Management Corp, Quantec Geoscience Ltd., Larson Diamond Drilling and MARSH Expediting.

Spectra Management Corp. of La Ronge Saskatchewan has been providing staking and line cutting services to the area for nearly 25 years. Spectra’s crews have worked in the basin for such companies as Cameco Corporation, Areva (Cogema), Noranda, Cominco, Placer Dome, and Phelps Dodge.

Founded in 1986, Quantec Geoscience is a leading global provider of geoscience solutions. During their time, Quantec has completed over 2,000 projects, many of which have been performed in northern Saskatchewan. Last year Quantec performed the geophysical survey on Purepoint’s Turnor Lake property, highlighting the targets of this year’s drill program.

Larson Diamond Drilling Ltd. has been owned and operated by Bryant Larson out of Martensville, Saskatchewan for over 10 years. Including time employed with Boart Longyear Drilling, Bryant has over 25 years of experience drilling for uranium in the Athabasca Basin.

Grant Merriman owns and operates MARSH Expediting out of La Ronge, Saskatchewan. Grant worked for Saskatchewan Mining Development Corporation (SMDC) and Cameco in the Athabasca Basin area for over 17 years where he gained his expediting and field camp management experience.

Purepoint Uranium Group Inc. is a uranium focused exploration company with 100 percent ownership of 120,000 hectares in the Canadian Athabasca Basin. Established in the Basin before the resurgence in uranium, Purepoint is now actively advancing seven key properties of historic significance. Several of these projects contain near term targets, drill ready for 2006.
